Mahindra & Mahindra Comes Up With Comprehensive Approach To Utility Vehicle Market

In the race of the dominating the top position in the Indian automobile market, there are various names that are attempting beyond their limits. Mahindra and Mahindra, which is at present leading the sector in various segments of the automobile are now coming up with an integrated approach to maintain its supremacy in the sector, especially in utility vehicle market.

Amit Sagar, VP sales, M&M stated that with the need to emphasize on overall characteristics, be it new products, customer satisfaction, spiraling accessible product lines, product quality to retain the influence. Sagar commented this at the launch newly made Scorpio.

He stated that the company is looking forward to re-launch and upgrade its high demanded and fast moving product such as Scorpio. The new Scorpio that is launched with an extremely powerful engine is certainly expected to boost the sales ratio of Mahindra & Mahindra. At present Mahindra is witnessing a growth of 5–6% while, 17% growth is witnessed by the UV market. The high demand for 5-Seater UV is driving to grow the market.

He didn’t affirm that there will be the advancement in the production line in term of segments. Mahindra’s KUV 100 is accounted for 30% market share in the utility vehicle market, but simultaneously the competition in the market is increasing drastically.

Mahindra Scorpio and Bolero are accounted to create a share of 27–28% and 35% of share in the overall utility sales of Mahindra & Mahindra, while the rest is been contributed by XUV, TUV, and Xylo.

Utility vehicle market is presently flooded with loads of models from the auto manufacturer. Availability of easy finance loans with a low rate of interest and documentation, drop in the prices of vehicles post-GST regime, and high demand for compact SUV from rural markets are some of the factors responsible for the growth of the utility vehicle market.

Growing per capita income of an average individual, present car owners shifting their focus to upgrade their vehicles, and hassle-free services provided by the authorized dealer at doorstep have also considerably robust the growth rate of the utility vehicles.

Corporate companies highly demanding 5–6-seater vehicles for employee transportation has also motivated the sales of utility vehicles.
